  • Victoria Smith

    Director and Solicitor (Family Team) at Oxford Law Group

    Victoria is a family law expert with over 30 years of experience. She joined Oxford Law Group in 2010 and is currently a Director, after being a Partner at another Oxford firm.
    • She has a Law degree from Nottingham University and qualified as a Solicitor in 1989.
    • She specialises in children law, especially complex care cases.
    • She is very committed to undertaking Publicly Funded cases.
    • She is passionate about protecting the rights and interests of children and families in difficult situations.
    • She is a member of the Law Society Children’s Panel, which recognises her high level of skill and knowledge in this area.
    • She works on cases in Oxfordshire, Reading and Berkshire, where she has built a strong reputation.
  • Elizabeth Knox

    Director and Solicitor (Family Team) at Oxford Law Group

    Liz was educated at London and Oxford Universities and worked as a Social Worker before qualifying as a Solicitor in 1993. After a short period in private practice in Oxford, Liz moved to Edinburgh where she qualified in Scots Law and spent 10 years working with the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration, responsible for the investigation of child welfare and offending referrals.
    • Liz joined Oxford Law Group in 2017 and specialises in childcare law.
    • She helps children and parents with Family Court cases in Oxford, Reading and Berkshire.
    • She uses her skills and background in childcare law to protect their rights and interests.
    • She works on complex cases including cases involving an international element.
    • She is on the children panel, which shows her high level of competence in this area.
  • Khee Guan Tan

    Director and Solicitor (Mental Health Team) at Oxford Law Group

    Khee Guan was called to the Bar at Middle Temple in 1993 and practised litigation in Malaysia before returning to the UK. He completed his Masters and re-qualified as a solicitor in 2003. He now specialises in Mental Health Law. Khee Guan joined Oxford Law Group in 2005 and leads the Mental Health Team.
  • Richard Rouse

    Consultant Solicitor (Family Team) at Oxford Law Group

    Richard was educated at Keele and Cambridge Universities and qualified as a solicitor in October 1985. He was one of the founding Partners of Oxford Law Group and continues to work for the Firm as a Consultant in the Family Team. He is a member of the Law Society Children Panel.
  • Morag McNiven

    Solicitor (Mental Health Team) at Oxford Law Group

    Morag’s first degree was from St Andrews University. She then retrained, qualifying in law with the Open University and specialising in Employment and Mental Health Law. She now concentrates on Mental Health law, with clients detained subject to civil and forensic sections. Morag is one of the supervisors in the Mental Health team.
  • Anna Zimmerman

    Solicitor (Family Team) at Oxford Law Group

    Anna is a solicitor who works on child care cases. She joined the Family Team in November 2021, after qualifying as a solicitor in March 2021. She previously worked in criminal defence. She has a Law degree from Exeter University. She helps parents with child care cases in the Oxford, Reading and Berkshire areas. She is passionate about helping families in difficult situations.
  • Gemma Bound

    Solicitor (Family Team) at Oxford Law Group

    Gemma was educated at Bristol and Oxford Universities and qualified as a solicitor in 2009. Gemma has specialised in family law since qualification and over the past 12 years has practiced almost solely in child protection cases. She spent seven years as a Local Authority child care lawyer before joining a firm in Reading in 2019. Gemma joined Oxford Law Group in January 2024. Her practice has expanded over the years to representing children, parents, grandparents and other family members in care proceedings. Gemma is an experienced advocate and splits her time between working in the office and representing her clients in Court. She is hugely passionate about her work and is dedicated to ensuring her clients are properly and fairly represented. Having had the experience of working in a Local Authority, Gemma has an excellent understanding of the working practices within Local Authorities and she utilises this in the best interests of her clients. Gemma is regularly instructed by Children’s Guardians and is a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel.
