Caring for your children's wefare in domestic disputes
We are very conscious of the impact separation, divorce and breakdown of relationships have on children and seek to minimize the trauma to them. The children's welfare is always the most important consideration for the Court. We do everything we can to discourage conflict over your children, minimizing the effect it has on them. We work hard to keep the emotional impact to a minimum, providing expert advice on Residence, Contact (access) arrangements and a range of other concerns.
If you have a dispute about where your children should go to school we can advise you as to whether there is any scope for negotiating an extra financial settlement in relation to the children.
Occasionally, a parent will wish to take the children to another country and where agreement is not forthcoming from the other parent, Court proceedings are required and we are experts in that field of work.
It is not just parents who are involved in legal proceedings relating to children. We also act for extended family members who wish to have care of a child or contact with a child, particularly where there are difficulties between that child's parents. We also advise and act for adopters whether they are adopting through a private agency or the Local Authority.
